Women Together Wardrobe Fundraiser
YOURS & OURS for THEM
Storage space in New York is a commodity. Every season millions of women perform the ritual of making room for new seasons fashion or storing clothes from one season to another.
There are always some clothes, accessories, shoes and bags that need to be purged or given to others. Women Together converts this routine activity, into an Investment Fund to benefit
thousands of artisans located in vulnerable communities in development countries by providing training, supplies, and resources.
On this occasion the funds are earmarked for the continued training and support of
communities located in Colombia, Dominican Republic and Mexico. This program works to
preserve and foster centuries-old yet vital artisanal crafts in vulnerable communities, honoring local heritage and creating new opportunities for growth and development.
We do this by holding a sale of gently or never used items donated from women’s wardrobes
to benefit these artisanal communities. All you need to do is donate the clothes and
accessories that are in good condition and can be used by other women who are going
to buy, like you, during a singular event that helps to build a better world.
On November 8 & 9, 2018 at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City, Women Together USA will hold a special sale of donated second-hand fashion items from celebrities, socialites and famous designers in addition to items donated by national and international brands joining in this initiative to assist in the success of the event.
The world of fashion, business, high society and entertainment unite by opening their “wardrobes” and donating to Women Together’s ” WEAVING TOGETHER Yours & Ours for Them”. Additionally, the event will present the collections from Weaving Together Mexico and Colombia. Other emerging designers will be present, and as a special participant Merakiu, a network for women entrepreneurs worldwide, will bring an array of designer items for sale.
